Concrete Lifting at Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown, SD

When Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown noticed uneven concrete creating tripping hazards, Blackburn Foundation Repair was able to help provide a safer walking area for zoo visitors, staff, and families.

Public spaces like zoos see a lot of foot traffic, which makes uneven sidewalks and settled concrete more than just an eyesore. These problem areas can create safety concerns for guests of all ages. Instead of tearing out and replacing the concrete, Blackburn used PolyLevel® to lift and level the settled slabs.

PolyLevel is a fast, minimally invasive concrete lifting solution. Small injection holes are drilled into the concrete, and a lightweight polyurethane foam is injected beneath the slab. As the foam expands, it fills voids below the concrete and lifts the slab back toward its original position.

For Bramble Park Zoo, this meant the tripping hazards could be addressed with minimal disruption to daily operations, visitors, and the animals. The process is clean, quick, and allows the area to be used again much sooner than traditional concrete replacement.

Now, the walkways are safer and more even, helping guests enjoy their visit with fewer concerns underfoot.

Blackburn Foundation Repair is proud to serve the Watertown, Brookings, and surrounding South Dakota areas with concrete lifting, foundation repair, basement waterproofing, and crawl space repair solutions.
